ARTA is composed of more than 30 residential treatment facilities for adults with mental illness. We offer four different styles of residential care to adults with a range of serious mental challenges, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and disorders combined with substance abuse. Adult Residential Services AltaPointe provides residential care and treatment to adults living with chronic mental illness. Our residential facilities accommodate patients with a wide spectrum of needs based on their levels of functioning, medical needs, and supervision requirements.
Transitional Housing All services require a referral and documentation of mental health status as required by the NYS Office of Mental Health. Burrell’s START Living program provides intensive rehabilitative services to adults with serious mental illness. START is a co-ed facility with the capacity for 11 residents and hour staff coverage. Staff assist clients in learning daily-living activities, taking medications, practicing socialization skills, and accessing community resources.

Supportive Housing: A program under contract with DMHAS which offers residential placements to consumer residents with diagnoses of serious mental illness, either directly by a Provider agency or by agreement with another entity (RHCF, boarding home, etc.).
